LitBuy Jeans Spreadsheet.

Start with denim jean listings, from simple washes to embroidered and graphic styles. Keep waist, rise and inseam separate when comparing fit; a familiar style name does not establish the actual measurements.

These examples are selected for denim-jeans titles, with different graphics, embroidery, washes and cuts. Check actual measurements rather than inferring fit from the thumbnail. Listing pictures are separate from warehouse QC.

Compare the fit before the wash or graphics

Write the waist, rise, inseam and leg opening in separate fields before comparing denim finishes. Start with jeans you already use and keep your measurement method consistent. A familiar size number or a wide-leg title does not supply the dimensions of the selected listing.

Next compare the front and back wash, patches, prints or embroidery on the same variation. Leave composition and stretch as separate questions when the listing lacks that information. The picture can help identify a design; it cannot establish long-term color retention or whether decoration will hold up after washing.

A few useful answers

Questions about jeans

Start with the exact listing and selected option.

What should I record besides the waist size?

Add rise, inseam and leg-opening information where supplied. Keep the units and measurement method with each number, then compare with a pair you already wear.

Can I tell how stretchy the denim is from a photo?

Look for explicit composition or stretch information. A visible wash, shape or distressed detail is not a stretch measurement. Ask about an important missing field before deciding.
