A practical decision: A body size chart and a laid-flat garment chart answer different questions. Ask which method the listing uses rather than choosing by the largest number.

Choose the opening and neckline first

Decide whether you want a full front zip, a pullover hood or a simple crewneck. Check the listing images for the actual closure and hood. A cropped thumbnail may hide the bottom of the zip or the neckline, so open the full product image before judging the design.

Distinguish body measurements from garment dimensions

Nike’s tops reference uses body measurements. A seller’s chart may instead give the dimensions of the garment laid flat. Identify which kind you have before comparing numbers. Keep units consistent, and ask how chest width, body length and sleeves were measured when the chart is unclear.

Compare proportions with a top you already use

Measure a similar garment that gives you the shape you want. Compare its length and sleeves with the listing’s stated dimensions. An oversized title does not tell you how the shoulders or hem will sit on you; the visible cut and the measurements are more useful starting points.

Check whether the price covers a top or a set

A photograph may include trousers or styling accessories that are not part of the order. Confirm the included pieces, color and size on the selected variation. Matching top-and-bottom sets have their own category here; this page focuses on individual hoodies and sweatshirts.
